Thank you to our presenter, Clive, for sharing his practical insights and experience in helping leaders build emotionally intelligent, high-trust workplaces.

**Event Recap and Key Takeaways**​

In this session, we explored how Transactional Analysis (TA) provides a powerful and practical framework for understanding communication and behaviour not just within a workplace but in everyday life. Clive introduced the concept of Ego States (Parent, Adult, and Child) and proved how these states influence everyday interactions at work.

Key highlights included:

- Recognising when we shift into reactive “Parent” or “Child” states
- Strengthening our ability to respond from a constructive, rational “Adult” state
- Adopting the “I’m OK, You’re OK” mindset to build mutual respect and trust
- Focusing on positive intent rather than judging the person
- Authentically sharing observations rather than assumptions or inferences
- Describing situations without judgement to reduce defensiveness and increase clarity

The session reinforced that psychosocial safety is shaped not just by what leaders say - but by how they say it.
